Why Join?

The Prep Readiness Program at Therapy Talks is Designed by Speech Pathologists and Educators to directly align with the Victorian Curriculum & the Early Years Learning and Development Framework providing opportunities for intentional teaching and child-led experiences through a range of activities incorporating craft, construction, movement, stories, music, games, and mindfulness.

Our program adheres to the eight key practice principles for children's learning and development including reflective practice, partnerships with families, high expectations for every child, respectful relationships and responsive engagement, equity and diversity, assessment for learning and development, integrated learning and teaching approaches and strong partnerships with professionals. 

Promoting effective communication is at the core of each session as we build on the children's oral language skills while providing children the opportunity to develop a strong sense of wellbeing so that they can become confident students who are involved in their learning.

The group runs per school terms and is facilitated by a schoolteacher, speech pathologists and allied health assistants.

Each session runs for 2 hours. Maximum of 8 children per group.
