Funding Options

1. Chronic Disease Management Plan

This referral can be obtained from your local GP. It can provide a rebate of $64.80 per session, for a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year for allied health services. For more information please speak with your GP or visit the Department of Human Services: Chronic Disease Management Plan.

2. Follow up Chronic Disease Management Plan for people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent

This referral can be obtained from your local GP if a follow up is required after the initial GP management plan has been used. Clients who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and have a current Medicare referral will be bulk billed for these session.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is a Federal Government funding scheme to assist individuals aged 65-years and under diagnosed with a disability or chronic health conditions. To receive funding, you must be assessed to determine your eligibility.

Private Clients and Centrelink (Human Services) Health Care Card Holders

We are able to offer a reduced rate to families experiencing financial hardship who are able to present a valid health care card. This is part of our commitment towards making speech pathology accessible to everyone in our community.

Private Health Fund

Private speech pathology is covered under many health fund plans. Check with your health insurance to see if your specific level of cover entitles you to a rebate.
